I was kinda nervous to shoot Melissa and Matt’s wedding. I almost always meet my bride and groom’s a few months (sometimes even a year) before their weddings so we have lots of time to get comfortable with one another and get to know each other better. But both Melissa & Matt had been living in Iowa up until a month or so before the wedding so I didn’t meet them in real until just a week before the wedding. With no time to shoot an e-sesh and communications over facebook only I really had NO idea how these two would be in front of the lens. Needless to say I was quite thrilled to walk in on the morning of the wedding to a group of really easy going and FUNNY girls. Seriously, I laughed my butt off with them 🙂 Melissa was so laid back and relaxed as she got ready and her girls provided lots of comedic relief!
Meanwhile the ever amazing Rebecca was with the guys at the Travelodge, shooting their early morning shenanigans and preparations.
Once everyone was primed and ready to go we snuck off with the two love birds for their first look.
After a short lunch at Melissa’s parents we shot family photos and then started their formals on her parents farm!
Then we stopped off at a local pub owned by a family friend for a few photos before heading to Agassiz for the rest 🙂
And then it was off to the ceremony!
After making things official we headed over to the always amazing Fraser River Lodge for dinner and the reception where Melissa & Matt were treated to some seriously hilarious speeches and entertainment!
And can I just say that the Fraser River Lodge rocks for weddings. Their food is amazing every time and the location is SO beautiful for a wedding. Its quiet and peaceful, just the perfect spot to enjoy time with you those closest to you!
Thanks SO much M&M and both your families for making us feel so welcome all day! We had such a blast documenting this day for you all 🙂
