A Las Vegas Photography Workshop!! :)

My, oh my! What a whirlwind couple of weeks we’ve been having here! Its hard to believe that its been almost 2 weeks since the workshop; since Len and I jetted off to Las Vegas for a few days of rest and relaxation!! In hindsight, those few days couldn’t have come at a better time now that we’ve been bombarded by sickness and infections in this house :S NOT FUN! And because I’ve been tied up wiping noses, cuddling sick boys and trying to keep on top of my other house-wifely duties these pics are coming a little later than I’d hoped! And this is only part 1 so you’ll have to keep tuned for part 2 ;)

I’d been wanting to attend a workshop for some time now and had been keeping my eyes and ears open in the hopes of finding one put on by a photographer I felt I could really relate to! So when Jean Smith announced on her blog that she and her husband, Travis, would be hosting a workshop in Vegas together I didn’t hesitate for a moment and snapped up my seat as quick as I could! I’d been following Jean’s blog for well over a year and was always (and am even more so now…) inspired by her work! It was a match made in heaven and I’m so, SO grateful to have had an opportunity to meet and learn from such an inspirational couple! I went in (obviously) excited but overwhelmingly nervous, scared and terrified that I’d be laughed at and ridiculed the entire time but am happy to report that J&T made sure we all left feeling more confident and inspired than ever! And an added bonus was having met new friends along the way! :) I’m SO happy I got over my fears of going and that Len supported and encouraged it all the way! What an incredible weekend it was, networking with other photographers and learning brand new skills! I’m already looking forward to attending another workshop in the future – hopefully J&T’s artifical light workshop if they ever decide to host one a little close to Canada (hint, hint!!)

Aaaaanyway….. :) Onto the pictures. guys!!

Enjoy!!

Thats it for now! But I promise there’s more to come! :) Feel free to leave me some love in the comments below!!
