Cultus Lake Engagement Session

Woowee! So excited to be back at shooting and blogging. Ok, I might be lying a bit about the blogging part but I am really excited to share some of the photos from last week’s amazing engagement sessions, especially this one up at Cultus Lake!! I don’t know what it was, maybe that I hadn’t shot a real session in almost 4 months or that spring has burst forth in a most GLORIOUS fashion all over the Fraser Valley, but WOW, to say I’m feeling on top of the world about being back at work would be an understatement for sure!

Mandi & Len’s e-session started the week off right! They specifically chose Maple Bay beach as their photo location since it’s where they got engaged. Mandi is a photographer herself, currently based out of Mexico, but shes making the move to Chilliwack in just a few short months to marry Len and make a new home for herself in our gorgeous corner of the planet! They were so relaxed in front of the camera and that made my heart sing 🙂 Typically I’m giving posing directions or hollering at my couples to loosen up their limbs but I felt so quiet for this session and maybe a little bit stalkerish just lying in the grass or hiding behind bushes saying nothing while they cuddled in the forest and on the waters edge!

And who is up for camping this year? Len (my Len, not Mandi’s Len…. #thatalmostgotawkard) finally agreed to going this year (yippee!) and I’ve got the itch BIG time, especially after driving through the empty campgrounds at Cultus on the way to this engagement session. If any locals have a favorite spot that’s still close to home I’d love to hear about it 🙂
