Deanna & Tyson : Chilliwack Engagement Photographer

Ooooh man!! Am I allowed to say that these are some of my favorite images of all time!?! Everything just worked amazingly well for this session, right down to how the choice of clothing colors complemented the dark sky!! We had postponed this session once before as we were waiting for the perfect sun-drenched day, but for whatever reason the weather was NOT working with our schedules! So, we made do with what we had – and am I ever glad we did!

I had such a blast with Deanna & Tyson! She’d scoured the world wide web looking for photos she loved and in doing so came across this spectacular location out in Chilliwack. After hunting down and contacting the owner we got the go ahead to use the property for photos and I’m still ecstatic about it - this private residence is a photographers dream come true!!

A quick change of location and we were back at it…albeit with waning light by this point because we’d spent so much time at the previous location;)

And then this very last set! A little bit different editing style than what I usually go for, but D&T had requested some of their photos be inside this old barn filled to the roof (literally!) with antiques! It was a super dark barn with only a few dim bulbs hanging around but I managed to squeeze what light I could out of it to get these last couple of shots!

Love, love. Love. Love!:)

Jenna : Senior Portraits

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Jenna who will be graduating from high school this year! Grad was SUCH a fun time, and still one of my most fond memories! I can still vividly recall exactly how I felt leading up to that big day (and its been almost 10 years already…yikes!). I remember feeling so free at our grad party and was sooooo excited to launch forward into the future. There truly is nothing like the “high” that graduation gives and I wish I’d taken more time to document that time in my life!

Anyway, back to Jenna, 2012 highshool grad!:)

If you are interested in Senior photos for yourself or for your graduating child, please let me know:)I’d love to capture them during this exhilarating stage in their lives!

Samantha & Chris : Abbotsford Engagement Photographer

I’m so excited to “introduce” you to Samantha & Chris!! We had a fabulous session this past weekend and the weather was amaaaazing!!! I knew from the second we met at our intial consult that they’d be a fantastic couple to photograph and they definitley didn’t disappoint! Chris, who hails all the way from Australia, has that fabulous laid back Aussie attitude and Samantha compliments him so well with her easy going nature and fun sense of humor! They are one dynamic duo!! We spent the entire 2 hours just hanging out, being goofy and laughing…alot! I LOVE that!! It was so easy to capture them naturally because they’ve got such a great connection and even after 3.5 years of dating they’ve still managed to carry that first-date spark!!

1+1 = 3 : Abbotsford Maternity & Baby Photographer

I still can’t believe we had such amazing weather back in February! We were so fortunate to get as much sunshine as we did during the wet and dreary ”winter months” here on the west coast.  Sad to see that we’re not getting the same weather this month but I guess we can’t have everything, right?;)These were taken almost 6 weeks ago, now, when Rob & Lori were still anticipating the arrival of their little peanut! We basked in the sun and joked (as we always do) about how much they love me (which they’re secretly not joking about at all….) and I enriched their lives with all of my words of wisdon and experience in raising babies (ha!) ;)

And roughly 3.5 weeks ago they welcomed their new little bundle, Kaylin!! She is such a tiny, precious little peanut! My littlest guy is only 6 months old, but oh my goodness peepsters, this little gal made my ovaries quiver;)
